SPECTRUM
Spectrum is an interactive installation of light and sound, a dynamic laser sculpture and a live modular synth performance.
A laser projects light beams into a smoke filled sphere, sculpting 3d forms within the sphere, derivative of voltages used in a musical performance.
Audience members are invited to step forward and interact with the light sculpture using hand gestures and body movements in an intuative manner to manipulate the light within the sphere.
Spectrum was a work commisioned in 2017 for Sydney’s ‘Vivid’ festival of light.
Developed and performed in partenership with a close friend and fellow audio visual artist Kieran Warner-Hunt.
